Whittaker's Bunkhouse is THE place to stay when planning your
Mount Rainier event. Whether you are going guided, or as an
independent climb, the Bunkhouse is open to you. Book early!
Because of the popularity, reservations are needed and they
should be done months in advance. There are rooms for two or
larger rooms for a small group.
Within walking distance you will find restaurants,
entertainment, grocery store, Post Office and even a Laundromat. |

Offering cabins set back from the road, this is a good spot for
seclusion. Most cabin offer full amenities such as two bedrooms,
TV/VCR/DVD, BBQ stoves and laundry facilities. |

NOTE: One word about accommodations for your visit to Mount
Rainier. Ashford and the surrounding communities have a limited number
of available Hotels and Motels. The nearest city would be Tacoma which
is 40-45 miles away.
Without reservations, getting a room is almost impossible. Some
establishment such as Whittaker's Bunkhouse is booked months in advance.
Plan ahead, when you know your dates, get a reservation. It is always
easier to cancel should your plans change. |
