Directions to the trailhead for the
Avalanche Gulch Route starts at the intersection of Everett Memorial
Highway (A10) and Rockfellow Drive in the village of Mount Shasta,
see map below.
Turn north on the Everett Memorial Hwy and note your odometer
reading. Travel along this winding highway for 11 miles. There are
milepost markers along the highway. The road ends at the Bunny Flat
parking lot.
The Bunny Flat parking area offers limited campsites nearby and
facilities to help you prepare for your ascent. |
