Mount Shasta Permits and Trip Fees
Permits  
Mount Shasta Wilderness Permit Required for entry into the wilderness area.

Wilderness Permits are required to climb Mount Shasta. Both passes and permits can be acquired at the self-issue stations located at the Mt. Shasta Ranger station or at the trailhead.

Mount Shasta Summit Pass Required for all climbs over 10,000 feet.

$20 Summit permit, good for 3 days.

Summit passes can be acquired at the self-issue stations located at the Mt. Shasta Ranger station or at the trailhead.

The annual pass are available at the Mt. Shasta and McCloud Ranger stations. Annual passes can also be purchased at most REI stores in Northern California.

$5.00 per tent per night.
$3.00 per solo bivy per night.
$1.00 Suggested day use donation.

Available facilities include:
Seasonal fresh water.
Composting Toilet.
